Progress!

I'm slowly making some progress here. I finally got these blocks pieced into a top. I'm debating a border. The plan for these blocks included a border. It sure feels good to have this much done. I don't make scrappy blocks like this anymore. The blocks have a foundation that makes for a heavier quilt. We don't need heavier quits in this area of southeast Texas. I'm going to quilt the leftover block and make it into an eye glasses case.

  1. What a fun quilt! I've got an entire box of "leftover" blocks from years of projects and I have visions of putting them together someday. It was fun seeing your UFO's getting finished. I'm working through mine on my Area 51 Challenge and it's so nice to see some of those piles of blocks become quilts, isn't it?

  2. I love crazy blocks! I have a few ongoing crazy project that I work on when I want to not worry about matching seams. How big are your blocks? I've done 10 inch and 4.5 inch. I prefer the smaller ones.
Good job on your UFO finishing. I'm trying to complete lots of things this year too.

  3. These blocks were trimmed to 9" square and then pieced into a top. I hope to get this top quilted in the next week.
