I love to quilt with loops and swirls. I also quilted our grandsons name into the quilt. This quilt will stay at grandmas house when it's finished. I hope to get the binding on it today so I'll have a hand work project to carry around with me.

current UFO
The current UFO I'm working on is a cheater panel I bought about 10 years ago. I bought several of them and didn't remember having 1 left. I found when I was sorting through boxes several weeks ago. I wasn't sure what I was going to use for a backing until I found the cute black background print at a quit shop.

UFO reduction
I threw 2 UFO's away about a month ago. It's been hectic here this fall and I didn't have a chance to post about it. One UFO was blocks that weren't enough to do anything with and they didn't go with anything. The other UFO was a dust ruffle I started. I no longer have the bed that it was to fit. We went from full to queen and that UFO is gone. I hope to do better with my UFO's in 2011. I have a pile of UFO's I plan to put on ebay.

UFO finished-16 September 2010
This quilt was a UFO I started about 25 years ago. The center of blocks were silk screened prints, I bought them from the quilt shop in Crosby. I made the top and forgot about it. I found the top about a month ago when I was going through a box of fabric. I got it quilted and I'll be keeping here for our grandson Caleb to use when he's here.
Below is a close up of the blocks and quilting. I've been hoping to get a UFO finished each week but, it just hasn't worked out.

split 9-patch UFO
This is the time of year that I don't get many UFO's finished.
I've been looking for this one for a while. I found it while I was looking for something else today. It was planned for a full sized bed, now it's going to be king sized. I should have enough fabric to make it work. I need 20 more blocks to finish the top. I'll probably put a border of the background fabric around the blocks. I'm planning to work on a UFO everyday through the summer!
This UFO was from Billie Lauder class sponsored by the Kingwood Quilt Guild. The fabric came from Front Porch Quilts in the greater Houston area.

Tuesday update
I had a couple of hours today that I did a lot of waiting. I got a lot of ripping done during that time.

current UFO's
I found another UFO in my drawer that I've started to work on. I still need to rip a lot of flying geese blocks but, I've been edge stitching the tote bags (2 UFO's-3 bags). I've gotten the strapping out for them. I should be able to finish them soon, if I can get some time to work on them. The weekends can be hectic here.
