current UFO

I'm currently working on a scrappy trips around the world UFO. There have been a lot of distractions around here. I hope to have the center section pieced tonight. I have not made a decision about the border or backing fabrics.

update on current UFO

This is UFO #5 and I finished piecing 4 blocks tonight. That is 14 done and 6 to GO! YEAH!

I started working on another scrappy trips around the world UFO. I had 8 blocks started I pieced 2 tonight and I need 10 more for the quilt. I hope to get at least 1 block pieced each day until I have enough for the quilt.

This is the final post on UFO #4. It was finished 2 days ago. It's a variation on Bonnie Hunter's scrappy trip around the world pattern. I'm currently working on UFO #5 another scrappy trip around the world quilt.

This is UFO #3. I finished it in January. It's a Hidden Wells Quilt. It was a lot of fun to make. I ove the fabrics in this quilt and it's the perfect quilt for our guest room.

update on UFO #4

I got the quilting finished last night. I trimed the quilt tonight and I hope to be binding it tomorrow. I finish most of my bindings by hand. I'll be doing this one that way. It'll take me a couple of days to get the binding done.

update on current UFO

I have a pieced backing!--I hope to load it tomorrow--I've already decided on the thread color--I hope to be quilting by Wednesday or Thursday!

the fabric for Plan B shrunk up enough that it's not going to work out I hunted for more fabric until I came up with one that will work it's been washed and cut I'll try to piece it tomorrow

well, the backing is pieced but, I found 4 holes in it!
I can't work around them easily for this quilt
I've decided to use this backing for a smaller quilt

I found another fabric to use and it'll have to be washed first

the current plan is to wash the plan B fabric Sunday and see how much it shrinks

there is no quilting thread color problem with the plan B backing fabric
the backing no longer coordinates with the binding fabric
I'll get over it
the binding is made and I'm not changing it

I'll try to check back in tomorrow with an update!

ok,
I picked a UFO out on Thursday
I washed the backing Thursday
I measured the top Friday
and today, Saturday, I'm sewing a seam in the backing

I'm still debating thread color

I'll try to get a picture of the top up as soon as possible

life threw us a curve ball and we're dealing with it
I still want to reduce my UFO's this year

I'm currently working on a new quilt, a scrappy quilt and about to start a jelly roll race quilt

I need to pick a UFO and start working on it
I hope to work on it until it's finished!

current UFO from 2007

This is the completed top, about 95" by 95". I think there may be enough purple in this quilt. This quilt was planned for our guest room. This is what I had done from 2007. I had all the strips pieced into sections and I had my notes.

It's DONE!

This is a UFO from a few years ago. It's make with beachy fabric that a friend gave me for my birthday. I really miss the beach. Once this bag is finished, I'll keep it for me to remind me of the beach!
